The WW9 “Burning Bush Icon” Archive Boxy Tee
Fire. Mystery. A flame that does not consume.
In the Book of Exodus, Moses sees a bush that burns without being consumed and hears God speak from it. Orthodox Christian tradition reads the burning bush as a sign of the Virgin Mary, who bore Christ without being consumed, and the “Unburnt Bush” icon expresses that idea. At its center, the Virgin and Child sit inside an eight-pointed star formed by overlapping red and green shapes. The age, maker and origin of this particular icon are not known.
The front of the shirt carries the full icon as a rectangular image, with the central star framed by panels of saints and scenes and a red outer border, printed in full color with DTG.
The Canvas:
This unisex boxy tee is made from 100% combed cotton (280g/m²). The heavyweight fabric gives the shirt a substantial vintage feel, while the drop shoulders and loose, boxy cut give a relaxed fit. Reactive-dyed for long-lasting color.
