Description
The WW9 “Festa de Yemanjá” Archive Boxy Tee
The sea. The offering. The queen of the waters.
Yemanjá (also spelled Iemanjá) is the orixá of the sea in Afro-Brazilian religions such as Candomblé and Umbanda, with roots in the Yoruba deity Yemọja. Every February 2, crowds gather in the Rio Vermelho neighborhood of Salvador, Bahia, for the Festa de Yemanjá, carrying flowers and gifts out to sea as offerings to her.
The design is a poster-style illustration in blue and black ink: the words “Festa de Yemanjá” across the top, and Yemanjá rising with arms outstretched above a fisherman’s boat, with fish and waves below. Printed with DTG on the front, with no background box.
The Canvas:
This unisex boxy tee is made from 100% combed cotton (280g/m²). The heavyweight fabric gives the shirt a substantial vintage feel, while the drop shoulders and loose, boxy cut give a relaxed fit. Reactive-dyed for long-lasting color.
