Found Photographs

Every face here is melanated, and every one deserves a name.

Three of our pieces come from old photographs whose names were lost: three laughing boys in caps, a woman in pearls who signed her portrait to Mary, and a soldier in a kepi framed in gilt with an eagle, flags and a cannon. They came from albums, estate sales and archives. Where a name, a date or a note survives, we keep it.
